Master Series

Notes:

The Master Series has been designed for professional performers who have developed larger repertoire and are ready to produce higher-level recorded video performances.

These may be recorded via a private, or public YouTube channel, or via some other medium. Such videos need to clearly show the candidate performing. 

The performance requirement includes performing in live concerts, competitions, recording studios, and/or at private or public functions. 

Exception: Performances that can be verified as commercial disc recordings from a recognised studio. This exception is applied minimally for examination purposes. 

• ​The series represents the highest levels of professional performance. 

• Candidates are required to build larger professional recorded repertoires (playlists or programs) in their areas of interest.

• Candidates may also perform their own compositions and arrangements.

• All styles and genres are acceptable.

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Each award holds the pre-requisite of the previous one. 

• DISTINCTION (PASS):  90 - 94%
• HIGH DISTINCTION:  95 - 100%

Requirements: 

• 35 high-level recorded works  (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other)  

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements..
   
• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series.

Pre-requisite: 

• Performing Artist

Requirements: 

•  40 high-level recorded works (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other) 

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements.

• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. ​

An experienced Advanced ​​Performing Artist who teaches masterclasses at a school or music organization in addition to performing at various functions both private and public is eligible to apply.  

Pre-requisite: 

• Advanced Performing Artist

Requirements: 

• 45 high-level recorded works (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other) 

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements.
   
• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. ​

An Associated Artist is one who has developed an association with a recording studio, with the intention of distributing recorded performances for private and/or public use. This may also include the candidate’s own professional recording studio. 

Pre-requisite: 

• Artist in Residence

Requirements: 

• 50 high-level recorded works (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other)

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements. 

• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. ​

A Concert Artist provides performances at any private or public functions in their own country of origin.

Pre-requisite: 

• Artist in Residence

Requirements: 

• 55 high-level recorded works (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other) 

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements.

• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. ​

An International Concert Artist provides performances at any private or public functions on the international stage. It might include performances as a soloist, as tutti, or a combination of both.  

Pre-requisite: 

• Concert Artist

Requirements: 

•  60 high-level recorded works (e.g., public, or private YouTube Channel, other) 

• Performance on related, historical, or modern instrumentation is encouraged.

• Candidates may also perform their own high-level compositions and/or arrangements.

• Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. ​
