Teachers - Music Exams catering for all levels

Registration REQUIRED

Music Examinations are available 24/7 from anywhere in the world and aims to set the highest international standards for music performance.


All awards are accredited by the Masters International Music Examinations Board of the Masters International School of Music. Teachers need to be registered by submitting an application for accreditation to participate. (see below).
 

Music Exams are divided into a 'series' representing the various stages of performance development from beginners to the highest professional levels.

There are two (2) types of assessment:


  • Via registered teachers/examiners (internal/external assessments)


  • Online - via an independent Jury (external assessments)

  

  • Candidates are required to submit their own program using works from their teacher’s own syllabus or from various other syllabuses of their own choice. This may also include a mix of various styles, periods, genres, and/or own compositions and/or arrangements.


  • Candidates may also wish to include works on a related, historical or modern instrument. 


  • Examiners will select various sections for assessment or analyze the entire presentation at their discretion.

Teacher Registration Requirements

  • Provide a verifiable Curriculum Vitae (CV ). 

 

  • Undertake accreditation. The Accreditation process is based on verification of all qualifications and/or experience as a music teacher.


  • Any applicant not suitably qualified for registration is encouraged to undertake examination via the Tertiary Series pathway. This pathway acts as our CPE Program (Continuing Professional Education Program) ensuring all teachers become fully qualified/experienced Examiners. Various levels of accreditation are available.  


  • Provide a copy of your syllabus - include the details of all the pieces you utilise for various levels, grades, diplomas. These need to be aligned with our Examination Structure (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Master Series).   


  • Any genre  or style can be used to form the basis of your syllabus.  It can be a work in progress or updated over time. 


  • Accredited Teachers/Examiners receive commission-based remuneration for undertaking examinations.


  • Upon verification teachers will qualify as MIMEB accredited examiners for their own students.  They will be able to examine their students internally.  Holders of high level credentials, e.g., Dip Music, BMus. MMus. etc.  may also qualify for MIMEB equivalent awards. 


  • Holders of higher level MIMEB credentials and experience can apply to become Chartered Music Examiners

                  Chartered Global Director of Music Examinations (International Admin.)
